GOOD NEWS --

The Basic Need Has Been Met

Mother of two small children lives on the edge of poverty
A Tragic Life

What began as a protective outreach to her children by the state now has devastated the finances of this young mother.   She believed that a relative had molested her child.  When Child Protective Services was involved her services by the regular DHS offices was transferred to CPS.

Her CPS casework, she says, has not followed through; mainly on the payments to her childcare school.

After two months of receiving no payment, the childcare school will not allow her to leave the children.   Having no reliable relatives she therefore is stuck at home, missing work time.

In His Name wants to give her some relief.  We paid $100 of the  $340 that is owed to the school.  We hope viewers of this web page will help us pay the balance.

This young mother has had a tragic life.

At age three her mother was killed, shot to death by her father in her presence.   He has remained in prison in another state.  She told Dee Stribling that recently she realized that she needed a parent.  Her mother is dead, but her dad is still alive.  She began to pray for God to help her to forgive him.  Eventually, she did actually forgive her dad, and has contacted him.

He is remorseful.  He told her that every day for twenty-one years, he has agonized over the horrible day. He lost a wife, and his only child, the apple of his eye.   They now both hope to build a relationship.

A few years ago she was homeless, living in her car, eventually attempting to take her own life.   She met a Christian woman in the hospital.  This was her first true friendship, which still continues today.  She attends church with the woman, and has become a Christian.  During this financial need, however, her pastor turned away from helping her.

It may shock some who read this.  However, there are many churches who have no money budgeted for outreach, even to their own members.

Thank you God for giving us the chance to share your love with this young mother.
