NOTE -

We felt it was urgent that they have a place to take their dying child after she is released from the hospital.

So after first putting this page up, IHNM decided to borrow funds from other budgeted accounts and settle with the utility companies.  We wanted the family to be able to immediately take possession of their  HUD home.

This money must be replaced so some of your earmarked gifts for this case will be used this way.

Thanks for helping the ministry and this family.

A Call From A Hospice Worker

A Compounded Tragic Situation For Parents Of Dying Child

Their baby is dying.  The hospital is ready to release her into Hospice home care, but the parents are stymied.  Old unpaid utility bills block them from taking possession of a HUD home.

The family may not have handled finances well, employment has been a problem. It's an opportunity for the people of God to practice His  mercy, and compassion.

During the baby's medical crisis, they stored furniture from the house in which they had resided and moved to St. Jude's in Memphis for two months hoping they could find a cure there.   They said, later, that they had not closed out any of their utilities, which may already have been overdue.  These unpaid bills block their moving into the HUD home.

The hospital graciously extended dismissal time to accommodate this situation.  She is ready to go home under Hospice care, when these old utility bills have been paid. They had hoped when the Section 8 was finalized that they might have been out this week end, then the overdue bills issue surfaced.  HUD will not allow them to take possession of the house until all the back utilities are paid.  Please help.

Your earmarked gifts are used precisely as you request -- yet they are still tax deductible to the extent that the IRS laws allow.
