September 15, 2001, Oklahoma City CASE # 019915dav Sold His Car to Pay for Son's Funeral Man Walks Eleven Miles To Work David and his wife moved to Oklahoma from Wichita, KS, to care for two grandchildren after the children's parents were killed in a highway accident. David and his wife had no funds for funeral expenses so they sold the family automobile. They moved from their home to Oklahoma City since the grandchildren's other grandparents lived there. The youngster's parents gone, David believed it was important that they have access to the support of all remaining family members. This was not a carefully worked out plan. It was several days before he located a job, and it was eleven miles from the apartment they had rented. The oldest boy wakes up screaming for is mom and dad. Both boys were in the back seat of the car in which their parents were killed on I-35. In His Name was glad to learn about his situation and to help with part of a troublesome utility. Will you send an earmarked donation to relieve his financial distress? If you help, please refer to CASE # 019915dav READ ABOUT OTHER CASES - TAP HERE |
