Nov. 6, 2007 Margaret and I have prayed ardently that new people would 'discover' In His Name Ministries; and that friends would take renewed interest. God is faithful. In November people gave more.
A man from Guymon picked up an old newspaper page swirling in his yard. He began to read the feature story on the religious page. It was The Oklahomans story on our JESUS PURSE. He went into his house and called our number asking for more information. Carla Hinton's story was published in the Daily Oklahoman, October 7, 2006. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
A personal note: As my dexterity diminishes and communication
becomes more difficult, one thing remains constant. . . being
able to communicate with our Lord. My rediscovery of Frank
Laubach's writings has been invaluable. I first read his books when I
was 20.
Example from Laubach's diary- "As I analyze myself I find several things happening to me as a result of these two months of strenuous effort to keep God in mind every minute. This concentration upon God is strenuous, but everything else has ceased to be so.
"Nothing can go wrong excepting one thing. That is that God may slip from my mind if I do not keep on my guard." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curious??
