FAMILY
NEEDS FINANCIAL HELP
Nine Year Old Receiving Extensive Treatment For Cancer
Nine year old Robert. H. was diagnosed with a rapid cancer that often lives in the lymph glands of the neck.
He noticed a lump on his neck the week of Thanksgiving. His parents took
him immediately to a doctor. It was diagnosed as a rare cancer which
effects only 600 children a year.
The
family is traveling to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, so Robert
can receive aggressive chemo and testing.
A Complication --
In the father's business, a large contract was canceled which caused
a loss of expected income.
The mother has a steady job and will do whatever it takes to care for
the needs of her family. After the initial trip to Texas she will
remain
at home to provide parental support for Robert's twin brother.
They are going to need funds to pay for travel and lodging to
and from Houston, Texas. They will have to fly because Robert will
not be able to ride in a car for long periods of time.
One of their primary financial needs is the monthly medical insurance
payment of $468.00.
The payment on their van is $250.00.
It is imperative that they have this van for transportation to
the local hospital in between visits to Houston.
I spoke with both parents who are Christians. Their faith is
being challenged, but they know God is their primary source of strength
and provision. They are fearful.
Please pray with us at IHNM for peace, and for quick healing.
And pray that God moves His people to show love, financial aid, and mercy
to this family.
--Teresa Rountree COMMENT
Imagine
for a moment that your child is entering the cancer treatment center; you
already are apprehensive about the procedure (and about the outcome). On
top of this you must face expenses that you don't know how to cover.
ASK
GOD TO SHOW YOU HOW TO APPLY THE GOLDEN RULE.
