From an article in Christianity Today

One's Soul Revealed

"Charitable giving is as close as we can get to truly free financial behavior. You are not obligated to give (and lots of people don't). You aren't buying anything you need, like food or transportation or housing, or even anything you enjoy, like vacations or premium cable channels. You get nothing out of giving except the satisfaction of your soul. And so, giving shows something about a person's soul."

Mother worried

Electricity Needed for Son's Breathing Unit .

THE BASIC NEED HAS BEEN MET

Single mother with one son 5 years and three girls ages 8, 4, and 3.

Her husband left them.

She just started a new job with VA Hospital. She receives reduced rent housing. Food stamps $500.00. Her son is on a breathing machine.

She made an arrangement to pay out her old bill and the current charges each month. Now she is in default. So OG&E demands $700.00 be paid to avoid cut-off.
She has a list of agencies from DHS.  But so far no one has offered to help her.
She is attending a Church of God in Spencer - no funds.
She reads her Bible most days - prays daily.
Our interviewer said, "I prayed with her for this need, for her son's healing, for her toilet that broke while we were talking. Her toilet started overflowing in the upstairs while we were talking. I was able to tell her how to turn off the water with the cut off valve and stop the flood. Thank you Lord!"

We want to encourage the family by paying some of, or all the overdue utility bill.

Your gift OF ANY AMOUNT will us help us reach out to this family in (tangible) love. If you will help please refer to Case 3992lat and inform us -- send an email.
