.A Good Neighbor Idea From In His Name Ministries |
If you will help please send an email so we can post your pledge.
$70.67 Received July 3, 2006. Thanks to an anonymous donor. Connecting Caring Persons With Needy Neighbors. How you can help: We believe donors to this ministry are among the most merciful and generous. However, not all American Christians are. From an article in Christianity Today One's Soul Revealed "Charitable giving is as close as we can get to truly free financial behavior. You are not obligated to give (and lots of people don't). You aren't buying anything you need, like food or transportation or housing, or even anything you enjoy, like vacations or premium cable channels. You get nothing out of giving except the satisfaction of your soul. And so, giving shows something about a person's soul." Tim Stafford in Christianity Today Magazine

Elderly Single Man Stressed
He is struggling on a Social Security income of $635.00. He receives a $10.00 Food Stamp card. A hip replacement operation six months ago still bothers him. He also has chronic heart problems. Our interviewer prayed with Sheryl for healing, for her son and that God would continue to use her to reach others with His love. After this initial information from Sheryl, our interviewer contacted Charles to get additional details and to have a friendly chat. He seemed to need that and he said Sheryl has been a great help to him. She is right there when he needs her. “I prayed with him for healing and for this financial need”.
Your gift OF ANY AMOUNT will us to reach out to Charles in (tangible) love. If your will help please inform us -- send an email. Designate - Case 4575cha |
