Nineteen
Years Ago
A
volunteer delivered a check from In His Name
Ministries made payable to ONG to
a widow's home. She had been without
service since Spring. Unknown to us, her adult
daughter who was living with her noticed and later
told her mother, "Now I see what you mean
about God." Her mom had been speaking
of the amazing love of God.
A
short time later she went to church with her
mother and confessed her faith in Christ.
Now
many years later, we still see the younger woman who
is a store clerk. Occasionally she says," I
guess you all know that In His Name Ministries is
responsible for my coming to the
Lord." She says she will always be grateful
to the ministry.
She
operates a neighborhood ministry in her home for
latchkey children.

CASE
#5067bil
70
Years Old,
ill, and stressed caring for rebellious
grand-children
B.
W. wears a pacemaker and has advancing symptoms of Parkinson
disease. For a man who has been
physically active, a successful business man,
church member and
community leader, this is a hard pill to swallow.
A compounding problem is that they
have
custody of two grand children.
Their
retirement income was adequate, but costs of
rearing two teenagers has ravaged their budget
The
17
year old and his 15 year old children are acting out
their
rebellion. Their mother of the children is not able to
give her parents any money to relieve the
financial burden of caring for her two children.
The children’s father resides in another
state. He has virtually abandoned them.
He
sends nothing to help either.
B.W.
has started proceedings to get child support for
the children.
Until
they begin receiving aid, they are $500.00 per
month short of what it takes to maintain their
fixed household bills.
They
are looking into a reverse mortgage on their home.
These
care givers are good people having been
responsible citizens all of their lives; now
during their senior years and in failing health,
the emotional and financial pressure is really
having a catastrophic effect.
A
Sunday school class is buying food for them each
week.
In
His Name Ministries wants to help them pay bills.
Current
needs are $1,058
Any amount you choose to give will
definitely help and it will show them that God
loves them.
