Connecting Caring
Persons With neighbors in need since 1983.
About
In His Name Ministries --
we do lengthy interviews with approximately two thousand persons each
year. Most of these individuals have critical financial needs. Donations given to our
general fund are used to help many of these families.
Only
about 75 of cases, on average, are put on the web each year.
We present these web cases to inform viewers and give them the chance to
designate who will benefit from their donation. However, this is
only a small part of the overall outreach of this ministry.
After
you read stories of need on this web, you have the choice of selecting one
(or more) to help, or to send a donation to the ministry that will be used
to help one of the many unpublicized cases.

Oklahoma City
Case 5277iva
$600 per month
Poverty Wage At Hotel
We're concerned about a single mother with a young son , and two
daughters ages 16, and 17.
She is employed Crown Plaza in a job that is less than full time.
Many employers do this.
She receives low rent housing which is a life-saver for her.
Still, she suffers. For instance, her car is not running. She cannot
afford the repair cost; so, she pays someone to drive her to work.
| AN ASPECT OF POVERTY IS THE COST OF OPERATING
AND MAINTAINING A CAR WHICH OFTEN UNDERCUTS A MEAGER BUDGET. WE
ADVISE SOME PERSONS TO RIDE THE BUS. FOR SOME CLIENTS, HOWEVER, A CAR
IS VIRTUALLY A NECESSITY. |
When her electric service was turned off, she spent over half her take
home pay to partially catch up.
Assistance with OG&E $374.00 service was disconnected last Wednesday.
She paid $324.00, leaving a deficit of $50.00. Now she has
nothing for various other living expenses.
She has contacted Salvation Army, Quail Springs Baptist, Peoples Church,
Shepherd's of Love. None of these have helped.
HER FAITH
She reads her Bible sometimes. Prays daily. She attends St. John's
Baptist Church.
OUR MINISTRY TO HER
We shall to continue our conversations with her to encourage her as she
strives to normalize her life.
Please consider helping.
If
you contact In His Name about this case please refer to Case 5277iva Your
gift OF ANY AMOUNT will help us reach out in (tangible) love.
Your donation is tax deductible; receipts are sent for each
donation and a year end receipt will be sent upon request.
1. Should donations exceed the needed amount
then we will apply to another case of need.
