July 4, 2003 CASE # 5462dia
Disabled Home Owner Fears Loss Of Her Home After ten years in her Habitat for Humanity home, this disabled person cannot pay the house payment this month. She fears that the organization will foreclose. A woman she worked for kept delaying payment for her work as a nanny for six children. Even though they had become friends over the years, she says her employer has grown defiant even in the face of a court order to pay. This unpaid debt has escalated out of control. A legal proceeding which resulted in our client getting a $10,000 settlement is yet to be paid. It is a tragic situation. The two women attended the same church. The pastor is pushing the employer to be honest and forthright in the dispute - all to no avail. HEALTH ISSUE Our client has a severe back disorder for which she recently had a spinal cord stimulator inserted into her spine. This takes away about fifty percent of her pain. PROSPECTS FOR A BETTER DAY She has applied for disability status, but that case is pending. She expects a good outcome soon. NEEDED $267.00 House Payment $189.00 Utilities HOW YOU CAN HELP E-mail this ministry that you intend to sent a check. Then we can post the amount so other web visitors can see what the balance is.
