Keeps house to hot, broken glass pane

78 Year Old Has High Gas Bill

We talk with about sixty persons each week, occasionally a financial need is so high, our best chance of reducing or eliminating it is by publishing the story on the web where many can see it.

This is about a 78 year old single woman. She lives on a Social Security Disability check of $673.00. Our worker wrote:

“Her grand-daughter called for her. I got details of the utility bill, then she put Jessie on the phone so I could pray for her. I prayed for her healing, for this need, and that the Lord would bless her especially on her Birthday tomorrow. I sang Happy Birthday to her she said that blessed her already.”

Last February ONG sent someone out to check for a gas leak. He suggested she keep the thermostat a bit lower to reduce gas bill.

The total gas bill is $1050.19. Past due is $528.42.

Later we learned that she was involved in a car accident last Wednesday. She has several breaks in her foot. It is in a cast at this time and a decision to determine if she needs surgery will come tomorrow.

We prayed with Jessie for relief from the pain and a healing in her foot and for this need.
