Chronic Heart Condition

Disables Single Mom

THE BASIC NEED HAS BEEN MET

Dealing with the financial effects of poor health is a common reality of the poor.

This single parent with three daughters, ages 8 (twins) and 7 barely has enough for essentials.

She takes a lot of expensive medication which is difficult on her limited income.

She asked our help to get her electric service turned back on.

She receives Disability in the amount of $579.00, food stamps $220, and reduced rent.

She sees her doctor regularly, and is re-evaluated annually to determine her eligibility for a heart transplant. Her doctor prays with her when she goes to visit him. She said he is a real encourager.
She has been staying with her grandmother for the past several weeks since her grandfather died.
Promises To Pay

She contacted DHS who will pay $72.00 to OG&E, and a church will pay the last $50.00.
She is attending Holy Everlasting Church - small church, no funds.
She reads the Word and prays daily. Her girls are the children's worship service.
Her favorite passage is Psalm 15. She explained this passage to our interviewer who said, "We had a good visit. She told me her grandfather used to give her little things to remember God by. PUSH Pray Until Something Happens.
"I prayed with her for healing, for this need, and for her grandmother to be comforted in the loss of her husband.
