Single Parent Struggles

A single parent with two daughters, ages three and seven.

She is employed at a restaurant - just started her job two weeks ago. Will get her first check Friday.
The gas utility has been turned off. A payment of $256.69 would restore service.

She will make payment arrangements on the remaining balance.
So far no one no other agency or church is helping.
CHURCH
She is visiting different churches trying to find a church home.
She reads her Bible most days - likes to read Genesis. Prays daily.

Our interviewer said, "We had a very nice visit. She is seeking to grow spiritually. She is not superficial in her faith. She sees this trial as being from the hand of God.

HER PURSUIT

She knows there are some things in her life she needs to change and is actively doing so. She had a question about Baptism. Our interviewer said, "I shared with her some passages on baptism. She said it really helped her understand.

OUR PRAYER

"I prayed with her for

  • more understanding

  • for wisdom and

  • to know how to keep herself and the children warm

  • for God's leading in finding a church home."
