A Widow mourning loss of her son-in-law

Lonely, Little Hope, No Close Friends

This 65-year old widow seems not to have much joy. She called about a worrisome gas utility bill. But our main conversation was about spiritual and emotional concerns. Our ministry to her continues. Paying all or part of her ONG would give us credibility and show her a tangible expression of love.

Health

She has a degenerative disk in her back, severe arthritis.

Income

Income - Disability check $617.00

Family

No one living with her. Children are scattered.
Her son-in-law in Hugo, OK died recently. Her own husband died eleven years ago. She still suffers from the loss. She worries now about her widowed daughter.

Faith

I comforted her about the loss of a loved one.
It appears she may not have totally surrendered to God. . .
I prayed with her. She recently has gone to a United Methodist Church near her house.
