Why Help The Poor

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? Roy's stepdaughter asked him to guarantee $3400 of her checks which `later did not clear. The checks which she had cashed overdrew him $1425. The bank is holding his money to recover their loss.
HIS INCOME - retirement from GM and SS is about $1,500. He makes it OK normally.
INTERVIEWER'S REPORT - We prayed together concerning the payment of this bill. And we prayed for this stepdaughter and the man she lives with who he feels put her up to this means of "stealing from him."
