A Good Neighbor Idea From In His Name Ministries |

Primary Need Pray for Larry's injured back. They have no insurance, and cannot afford expensive testing and medical treatment. Without him the ministry is stopped. Connecting Caring Persons With Needy Neighbors. RESPONSES TO DATE December 15, 2004 Bob D. asked his prayer group: "Please pray for Larry and Kathy Stewart. Larry, a friend of Dee and Margaret Stribling of IHNM, injured his back and is unable to work. (you’ll remember that we prayed for Kathy some time back as she lost her Mom.) Pray that they be encouraged and strengthened, for their peace of mind during this difficult time, and that they allow the joy of the Christmas season to minister to them as they focus on the arrival of the Christ Child." ~ ~ ~ December 14, 2004 Julie in Nashville has e-mailed an encouraging note to the Stewarts. ~ ~ ~ From Pat in Sulphur, OK December 14, 2004 "I am lifting you both up in prayer and my church, First Assembly of God, is praying for you. We don't just put you on a list, we put you on the list and PRAY for you. "Lean on the Lord and Trust HIM. He will see you through. May he administer HIS healing touch, give you HIS peace, so you can both be back singing and sharing HIS message wherever you go. God Bless, Love in Christ, Pat"
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Gal. 6:2 NIV

The original story Larry Stewart's
injured back
has curtailed their scheduled performances in churches in
California. It is a disaster to their minis Since 1982 the Stewarts, who now have six CD albums of their original music have traveled to churches from Indiana to California. Their home base is near McAlester, OK. Margaret and Dee Stribling, founders and co-directors of In His Name Ministries, have known Larry and Kathy for 20 years. Dee said, "Making money has never been what draws them to one church over another. They will travel for hundreds of miles to a church regardless of size." Larry drives the motor coach which is their home on the road. Gas costs are high and frequent breakdowns can be very expensive. They trust God and depend on his provision . Larry makes minor repairs, and does most of the physical labor involved in carting heavy equipment in and out of the trailer. Now he is flat on his back trying to recoup from a bad injury to his back.
How You Can Help Pray for Larry and Kathy to be encouraged and strengthened, and for their peace of mind during this hard time. Send them a donation if the Lord leads you to.
