Turning
your thought to God in prayer opens the connection to the eternal.
It removes you from the limitations of this realm.
Then the fact of His closeness to you will become more evident. And because His Spirit is in you, you can express the nature of God. That "sanctuary of Spirit" isn't some mysterious place outside of you. It's within. When you turn your thought to God, you can hear, see, and feel good. Your communion infects you with His love. You care more for others and you know that you too have great value in God's kingdom. It's not necessary to have a scenic view in order to talk to God, although it' great to find one when you can. Sometimes when I need more quietude, I retire from the office in our home to our bedroom. From there I can overlook the front yard. A street runs from the north dead ending at our street. So I can look a long distance up the tree lined street, which is side lighted from the morning sun. This is a good place to pray. But I can say that wherever I am, when I turn my thought to God for guidance, I find His guidance. Wherever I pray to Him for peace, I find peace. The longer I linger, the more peace I experience. Wherever I ask to feel His comfort, I am comforted. When I know three people who are needy, He will make the need of one more important for me over the others. God is the master manager. He guides those who are on his team. Even in small matters, when I have misplaced something, for instance, He often will nudge me in the right direction. He may position me where I will find the lost item. When I am looking for a fresh way to express one of his truths, He assists me. When answers don't come at once, he gives me confidence to watch for the unexpected. Christ's gift enables us to be in the eternal presence of our awesome God. Willing to communicate?
