Page Two -- A Cooperative Way To Meet Human Needs

Some of the friends of IHNM  regularly go to this web site and select one (or more) case numbers and send their earmarked donations.  Recently a case was referred to us by Jim Cary at Council Road Baptist church in Oklahoma City.  A week later $525 had been received.  IHNM wrote a check to the utility office for this amount, then informed Jim, and the client.

As donations come in, they are noted on a side bar of the web story.  A note on the web page asks readers to inform IHNM, Inc. via email, that a check is coming so the page can be quickly updated.  We use only the initials of the donor who can see that his gift was received, or that his pledge was noted. If requested we will omit the donor's initials.  As other gifts come, web viewers can see how much is still needed for that case.

Very Little Time or Effort Is Required Of The Local Church

All of the web maintenance, and other costs are taken care of by IHNM, Inc.  Cooperating churches select the client they want featured, write the story, email it to IHNM and inform their congregation of the URL (web address).  Some churches have written a piece in their mid-week or monthly news letter, others just include a line with their printed Sunday announcements. *
IHNM's web page can be an arm of your church's outreach to the poor.

The ministry welcomes financial participation by churches who want to support the cost of the program service, but it is not required for participation in this program. At present thirteen churches give regular, or occasional gifts.

If your church has a web site, we will link to it from our page about your client.
If the response exceeds our expectation we may, at some point, have to limit the frequency of client needs from participating churches, or make some other adjustments.
