We contact Crisis Helpers by email, or telephone to describe an urgent need.  
In cases of larger need, we may contact two or more to resolve the emergency financial need.
We rotate through the list through the year so no one is called too often.
The helpers always have the option of deferring to the next occasion of need.

Christianity is a practice.  We are made more perfect as we practice our faith in the everyday affairs of life. 

The ministry talks with ten or more persons daily who have problems. Many of them we do not attempt to assist (for various reasons).

Others we help out of funds on hand.  Or we offer to help as funds become available. 

Occasionally, immediate response to a need is appropriate but existing funds are inadequate. This is when we refer to our Crisis Helpers.

You can be part of our help in a crisis situation. 

Some Crisis Helpers have told us to call them as often as monthly. Others say, "whenever there is a real emergency, ask me."

Generally we will not ask the same person more than two or three times per year, unless they tell us otherwise.

Knowing a few people who we can contact for emergency needs is a wonderful back up.
