IHNM
is mindful of the spiritual needs of individuals.
Interviewers watch for a way to discuss this aspect of their lives. In some cases we offer to pray for the person. We also ask God to remind us later when to pray. Usually we ask the client, "Have you
been trusting your Creator for an answer?" This often leads into a conversation
that shows us what their spiritual condition is. Most clients are willing
to talk about this. However, when someone seems put off, or embarrassed,
the interviewer moves away from the subject for the moment. Later, we might
say, near the end of the conversation: "Incidentally we have noticed that
people who really trust God often receive surprising results."
Surprisingly, even those who have not claimed Christ as their personal savior, often seem interested in the conversation about the Christian faith. We do not attempt to push them toward a particular doctrine or denomination. If they seem interested, we talk about the most basic tenants of the Bible.
Why not look for people where you live to help. Ask local agencies. Utility companies may provide a name. If you do not know anyone close by, then help us serve those we know. To help, write a check or make a donation using
