Financial Needs
Operational Budget
The most current year's IRS 990 form shows that less than 15% of IHNM's donations were used for management and fund raising.  The balance was for program services and aid to the needy.

HELP

IHNM's board of directors
sets a budget that regulates the way donated funds are used.
Your undesignated gifts are used where most needed to cover budgeted items, one of the largest of which is financial aid to the needy.

IHNM, Inc., is glad also to invite donors to give earmarked gifts.   For example, you can specify your gift for an "elderly person," or for a particular web case.

Faith and Action

For every crises that we write about on these web pages, there are as many as fifty others who we do not mention.   Some days as many as twenty or more brand new cases come to our attention.  We give aid to many who are not on the current needs pages.  We
  • record their information, listen to their appeal
  • talk with utility offices and rental agents
  • contact volunteers or satellite workers
  • later make call backs to clients
  • send correspondence, or personalized greeting cards
  • visit some in their homes
  • transportation to a doctor's appointment
  • accompany clients to apply for state aid
  • and visit those who are hospitalized

Some receive aid from ministry funds, others who we cannot give financial aid to are given advice, or just friendly conversation.  Most clients say they pray, some are in churches, almost all of them will listen as we talk about Jesus and invite them to make Him the master of their lives.

EVANGELISM
There are opportunities for evangelism every day.  Hundreds of persons each year are pointed to Christ as their answer.  We pray with clients and urge them toward the godly life.  Good Samaritan generosity gives credibility to our words about Jesus.

IHNM, Inc. makes direct payments to utility offices and occasionally to rental agents, or to pharmacies.  In addition, the ministry incurs the normal expenses of operating an office.  To cover these we rely totally on those who God moves to action.   About 90% of our funding comes from individual donors, the rest is from churches and from corporate gifts.

Just as it costs money to operate a church, or a business, it costs to run a ministry.  Besides assisting the poor, we use various means to open up conversations with church leaders.  In His Name gladly shares methodologies with churches to help them expand their outreach to poor neighbors.   We mail the SERVE letter and other inspiring pieces to hundreds of churches.

HELP!

We appeal to your generosity and to your concern for the needs of the poor.  Help the poor wherever you see them, send earmarked gifts for persons on these web pages, and support In His Name Ministries with your donations.

We don't "take up an offering," or pass the plate.  Would you pray to see if the Lord might be nudging you to donate to this work of His.
