The Challenge Series In His Name Ministries |
We who serve God can fall into a trap of feeling good in successful service.
We may quietly delight in what we have done in comparison to the slackers. Yet a right-standing relationship with Jesus Christ is what matters more than anything. What others do, or do not do -- what we do, or do not do is less important than this. Staying connected to Him means we can live hour by hour, conscious of our relationship with Christ, rather than conscious of the service we perform.
When we keep our relationship right with Him, then regardless of our circumstances or whomever we encounter each day, He will continue to pour “rivers of living water” through us (John 7:38). And it is actually by His mercy that He does not let you know it.
If
we make usefulness the test, then Jesus Christ was the greatest
failure who ever lived.
GOD WORKS THROUGH HIS PEOPLE
For
God's people, direction and guidance come from God
Himself. Its not how useful we are that matters, not what we do for Him,
but what He chooses to do through us. All that our Lord notices in
a person’s life is that person’s relationship with Christ — something of great
value to His Father.

in you the hope of glory” (Colossians
1:27)
