January 23, 2003, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Case #twocold-1 UPDATE - January 26, 2003 Two families slept in sub-freezing temperatures recently.
One is a disabled 54 year old woman. Her monthly income is so low she must seek help continually after "robbing Peter to pay Paul." We don't know what the permanent solution is, but from time to time we are compelled to offer her help. A payment of $245.00 will be enough to get the gas utility restored. The
second case is a couple with one son
age 7; and a daughter
3 months old. He lost his job as a ruff neck on 01/11/03. They receive food stamps
amounting to $300.00, their only income now. As he seeks a new job,
he also has applied for unemployment. It will probably take 4 to 6 weeks to get it.
