which would bless not only this needy family, but some young people whose
group is called, The World Changers.
Shortly after the food
was delivered, the woman brought some hamburger to Carol's home to put
in her freezer since her electricity had not been turned on yet.
She had been crying
tears of joy, and told Carol that her own children were jumping up and
down with glee over the abundant variety of groceries. The fact that
children had delivered it was a special blessing.

table in
the next room lighting the family's 4 children's homework.
We talked briefly with
the family and asked if there was some way they would like us to
pray with them before we left. The father shared about some of their
recent struggles financially and was very open to our praying. The Lord
is always present, but as we prayed, He seemed to come into the room in
almost a tangible way. We were only there for 5 minutes, however,
judging by the reactions from our kids in the car on the way back to the
church, it was a life impacting 5 minutes for them.
We talked about the Lord
giving us His heart for people that are hurting, and one of our boys said,
"I felt it when we prayed!" Another asked if we could deliver food
every Wednesday night. After hearing the story of the evening from
their son, one parent later told us that they couldn't sleep because now
they were burdened by the needs of this family.
Our hope is that this
will not only be a memory in the hearts of these young people, but that
it will be a seed that will produce a "lifestyle fruit" of being used by
the Lord to meet needs like this, both in their lives and their families.
Several of our kids come from unchurched backgrounds. Seeing Jesus
interact with us the way He did Wednesday night, brings a reality to Christianity
that they might never see in a traditional church setting.
